Behaviour Interactive have officially announced the latest characters to join their ever-growing roster of horror icons in Dead by Daylight – Alien‘s Ellen Ripley and a Xenomorph – as teased last week. Players will also be able to explore the wreckage of the Nostromo in a brand-new map.

Explore the mysterious crash site of the iconic Nostromo. Visit landmarks familiar to the fans of the Alien franchise, in a unique setting where you will find yourself chased in and out of the ship. Run the Killer around the shuttle that brought Ripley to the world of the Entity. Navigate through the alien landscape, and you may yet escape from the remains of the wrecks.

The Xenomorph’s killer powers include ‘Hidden Pursuit’, allowing the alien to navigate tunnels to hunt the survivors, and ‘Runner Mode’, which will allow the Xenomorph to chase down survivors running on all four legs.

Ripley’s player perks include leaving no trace or making sounds when hiding in lockers and being able to run around silently when the ‘Light Footed’ perk is activated.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As Survivors your goal is to work together to evade, escape, and most importantly – stay alive.

The game is a horror fan’s wet dream with players able to play as some of the biggest horror icons, such as Ghostface, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Sadako, Pinhead, and Pyramid Head to name just a few.

During The Game Awards back in May, it was announced that Nicolas Cage would be joining the game as a playable Survivor character, voiced by the legend himself.

Dead By Daylight’s ‘Alien’ DLC launches on August 29
