Earlier this week Activision officially announced the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare III, in a trailer. A trailer that seemed to tease the return of one of the greatest threats in the series, Vladimir Makarov.
Makarov first appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as the leader of an Ultranationalist terrorist cell and remained the overarching antagonist for the Modern Warfare entries.
The latest Modern Warfare reboot will be launched later this year on November 10, with the full worldwide reveal scheduled for August 17.
Sledgehammer Games are behind the latest entry of the Call of Duty franchise. The studio previously gave us the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Advanced Warfare, WWII, and most recently Vanguard in 2021, which received a 72 on Metacritic.
