To celebrate the film’s arrival on VOD this week, Sony Pictures have released the first 9 minutes of Gene Stupnitsky’s R-rated comedy No Hard Feelings, starring Jennifer Lawrence, in a new extended preview.
Maddie (Lawrence) thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.
Starring alongside Lawrence are Andrew Feldman (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), Laura Benanti (Life & Beth), Natalie Morales (Solar Opposites), Scott MacArthur (Killing It), Hasan Minhaj (The Morning Show), and Matthew Broderick (Painkiller).
The R-rated comedy sits at 71% on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer, with the critic’s consensus being the “raunchy comedy often plays it disappointingly safe, but Jennifer Lawrence’s comedic and dramatic chops ensure that the end result prompts No Hard Feelings.“.
